Two effective strategies for booking private clients
Building a career as a yoga teacher is challenging
Unlike many other kinds of jobs, you have to build out a career in one hour blocks, working to get and then manage each gig separately.
While the explosion of online offerings and social media as a marketing tool has changed much about the landscape, there is one thing it hasn’t changed. In my view, the best way to build a career as a yoga teacher is to teach private clients.
And while social media and newsletters can support that effort, the best way to connect with new private clients is old school. Through building relationships, planting seeds and connecting with your community.
I started teaching yoga in 2005 and by 2007 I was teaching 25 private sessions every week
In 2015, I moved to a new city and had to rebuild my private practice, and in 2020, I had to move all my private clients online. So in 20 years I’ve had to rebuild my practice several times and I have two proven strategies for getting new clients.
